An introduction to the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill and how you can convince your MP to support it

About this Event

For too long the UK government has failed to address the climate emergency with urgency and ambition. In response, a group of scientists, lawyers, academics and activists collaborated to form Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill. This bill, if passed, will ensure the UK plays a key role in ensuring the global temperature increase is limited to 1.5°C, and conserve the natural world in a fair and just way. But it needs your help!

Currently, not enough MPs are backing the CEE Bill. During this hour-long webinar, representatives from the CEE Bill Alliance will discuss why this private member's bill is so important, what it contains and how you can get involved and support it!

Following this, UKYCC's very own Katie Williams and Jeana Malhi will provide tips and tricks on how to tell if your MP is truly green, and the best ways to engage your MP to have an impactful conversation.

Please reserve a free ticket to gain access to the Zoom link; a recording will be made available so if you can no longer attend, don’t worry! In the meantime, you can learn more about the CEE Bill and support it here!

Co-organised by UK Youth Climate Coalition and CEE Bill Alliance
